What does the unit include?

Individual lesson plans and the resources required for each lesson
Ongoing support from an Elemental Aim representative to guide you through the unit
Why is access to education still an issue?
As educators, we know that education is a basic and universal human right. Unfortunately, current global statistics do not reflect this. Our team wants to make a small contribution to this devastating inequity and support incredible local organisations striving to provide ongoing access to education in their communities.
Who is it for?
Australian Schools and currently targeted at Stage 3 (Years 5 & 6). We are developing a similar resource for Stage 4 (Years 7 & 8). Please contact us if you would like more information about using our resources for other Stages / Years.
How long is it?
2 hours a week for 9 weeks
What’s the focus?
Our model is unique as it focuses on two levels of social impact:
as a catalyst to support innovative schools based in Nicaragua, India and Bangladesh
simultaneously offering Australian schools curriculum-aligned coursework that enables each student to actively contribute to sustainable social change both globally and in their local community
